Singapore, a city of art and architecture. Singapore is a small country with a population of just over 5.5 million people. It is a city that is developing a system to foster and demonstrate the concept of "creativity" for survival, and is showing dynamic movements, especially in educational institutions. It seems that humanity is building two major paths to explore how to survive: one is to draw a virtual progress through high technology such as IT and bring it into reality, and the other is to coexist with analog nature and form an intimate relationship with silent "greenery". Since 1970, I have been on a journey to explore the role and possibilities of cities as an artist. Installations and sculptural architecture, beginning with Frank Gehry and Santiago Calatrava, have become a major force toward the end of the century and continue to do so to this day. In such a city, a group of buildings by architects with artistic and artistic tastes from all over the world are trying to create the architecture and urban landscape of the 21st century. This article reports on the city and architecture of Singapore, a testing ground for such projects.
